  Castle Farms

West Courtyard Ceremony & West Garden Room Reception

“Bill and I met because of two very good friends in the summer of 2004.  Throughout our relationship there have been so many links and connections we never knew we shared that it seems we were destined to meet someday.  We just found each other at the right point in our lives and truly believe we are a perfect fit!!”

“Bill is from the Caledonia area, while I grew up in Traverse City.  Over the past couple of years northern Michigan has played a big role in shaping our life together.  Whether we are up visiting friends and family, doing a wine tour on the Leelanau Peninsula, or camping in NorthPort, it has always been a fun area for us.  And when Bill proposed on the beach in Empire in November of 2006 it became even more special.”

“There was no doubt we would be married in northern Michigan and Castle Farms met all our needs.  We wanted an outdoor ceremony and a site that was laid back and fun.  The Castle gave us the opportunity for all of that.  We were married outside under the West Courtyard Gazebo.  After the ceremony we were allowed to wander the entire property to take pictures.  As our photographer said, “You can't take a bad picture at the Castle”. We have beautiful photos to remember that day.”

“But the best part about a wedding at the Castle was how much fun we had.  Not only are people coming to Castle Farms, they are coming to Charlevoix, one of the most beautiful towns in Michigan.  We wanted to share northern Michigan with our friends and family and many of them were up the whole weekend, and we had a blast!  It seemed that no one wanted the day to end.  I remember at midnight, when the DJ announced to the dance floor, that was still filled with people, that he was all done, everyone started chanting, "one more song!".  We all turned to our wedding coordinator and she gave him the go ahead for one last dance.  I think she understood that we wanted the night to last forever, and we will always have that memory of what a fantastic time we had.”
