Tavern Reception

Theirs was a true love story from the very beginning … but Becki and Blaine, being so young when they first met in preschool, just didn’t know it. It took another twelve years of attending different schools before they finally met again. When they did, romance quickly blossomed. Becki and Blaine spent the next eight years happily together, doting on each other and their two Great Danes, Lola and Lucy. Eventually Blaine decided their little family should be together forever, so one November day, their little family of four went out for a walk and Blaine dropped to one knee and proposed to Becki.
From the very beginning, the couple wanted a small intimate wedding for their family and close friends. The natural beauty of Northern Michigan called to them, and Becki and Blaine sought out numerous venues before finally visiting Castle Farms. Immediately they fell in love with The Castle’s stone buildings and romantic courtyards. They knew they’d found the perfect venue to fulfill their every wish, especially when The Castle proved so accommodating to their unique request to include “their girls” Lola and Lucy in the wedding party.
Brittany, one of Castle Farms’ wedding coordinators, was always available to assist Becki and Blaine with every detail as preparations began and the big day approached. Like something out of a fairy tale, Becki made her entrance into the Queen’s Courtyard in a horse drawn carriage. In the presence of family and friends, with Lola and Lucy at their side, Becki and Blaine were joined together as husband and wife. Family and friends still describe Becki and Blaine’s wedding at The Castle as the “most beautiful” they’ve ever attended, but Becki herself sums it up most appropriately: It really was an amazing day.
