"The unlikeliest of couples, Bryan and I met while working together in East Lansing.  We weren’t too fond of each other at the outset, but Bryan was relentless and finally convinced me to go on a date.  And that date led to some of the best times!  After dating for two years, jobs and school pulled us apart and we decided to give long-distance dating a shot (talk about a true lesson in communication and patience!).  Finally, after five years, and nearly 25,000 miles of driving, we knew!"

"Bryan and I have always shared a love of Northern Michigan.  We both have countless memories of the best times spent together with family and friends.  The beauty and the tranquility are a large part of the enticing factor, but it’s also the laughter, relaxed atmosphere, people and the ‘up north’ lifestyle that are so near and dear to our hearts."

"Knowing that I was just starting to plan our wedding, a good friend called one afternoon to point out an advertisement she’d seen in a bridal magazine.  She thought “The Castle” would be perfect for me because, after all, I’m such a little princess!  I immediately got the mothers together, and Bryan and I planned a weekend to visit our first wedding venue.  I have to say, we were all a little skeptical."
"Bryan and I were enchanted the moment we saw The Castle.  From the magnificent stone towers, to the colorful gardens and perfectly manicured lawns, to the cobblestone courtyards, we loved it all.  It was unique.  It was us!  And what’s more, the staff at Castle Farms was happy, welcoming and overly accommodating.  We were sold.  Our wedding date and location were set in one day’s work!"
"Over the following fifteen months, time and time again, the Castle Farms staff proved to us that we had made the right decision.  We thought that planning a destination wedding would prove to be challenging at times.  Not so.  The Castle Farms staff was always supportive and obliging. Not only were they happy to assist me in choosing my vendors and help make scheduling decisions, they were forthright and honest down to the last detail.  And they were always available.  They acted more like wedding planners than event coordinators; they clearly know and love what they do!"
"I woke up on my wedding day to glorious sunshine.  It was Labor Day weekend and it was warm!  How lucky could I get?  It was my Wedding Day! Yet, even when you think you’ve planned for every possible scenario, there’s always the exception to the rule, right?  The string trio was playing softly.  The bridesmaids were making their way down the aisle … and then, as if on-cue, the moment I was about to walk down the cobblestone aisle, the skies darkened and suddenly opened up.  Buckets of rain poured down, causing all our guests to run for cover!  In superb spur-of-the-moment planning, the Castle Farms staff reconfigured our plans on the fly.  Our guests were assisted and escorted into the King’s Great Hall, and we said our vows on the dance floor.  It definitely was a moment I will never forget.  Yet even with the unexpected last-minute changes, our wedding was royal and romantic, and everything a Castle wedding should be!"

"All in all, it was a crazy situation, but Bryan and I wouldn’t change a single minute!  We’re told it’s things like this that make for good stories to someday tell our kids …"
