Jayce and Casey met in August of 2006 while teaching at the same high school in Michigan, and their students had them married before they had even met! They started dating in October of the same year, and Jayce proposed to Casey in November 2008 while visiting Albion College where her brother was performing with his acapella group. Following the performance, Jayce sank to one knee in front of Casey’s entire family, and she knew what was coming! There, outside with the evening snow lightly falling, Jayce asked her to marry him. Casey’s tears started as he confessed how much he loved her and wished to spend his life with her. “Will you marry me?” Naturally, Casey said “Yes”!

After much discussion, they decided that a summer 2010 wedding seemed like the best idea. But plans can always change. Casey had vacationed in northern Michigan with her family since she was a little girl, and when her parents purchased a house on Lake Charlevoix, her childhood dreams of someday being married at Castle Farms grew closer to becoming a reality. When Jayce and Casey attended the Castle Bridal show, they decided on the date of July 18, 2009 (Jayce’s late grandpa’s birthday). Perfect!

For their special day, Jayce and Casey chose dark pink / light pink / creams as their color scheme, accented with gerbera daisies in the same rich tones. They fell in love with the “old Irish castle” feel of the Queen’s Courtyard, and the elegance of the King’s East Garden room. Their guests raved over the cake centerpieces, created by Dream Cakes in Novi, and the candy bar which offered an assortment of their favorite candy. Everyone agreed it was one of the most fun unique weddings they’d ever attended, and proved it by most of them staying until the very end, dancing the night away!

Jayce and Casey agree that their wedding at Castle Farms was perfect. From beginning their lives together, to the ambiance of the wedding day/evening, to dancing the night away with the people they love most, it was a day they never wanted to end!

July 28 - 29, 2012 - Fiber Arts Festival More than 50 vendors will be at Castle Farms displaying their wares during the Fiber Arts Festival July 28-29, 2012. Live animals, such as sheep and alpaca, and interactive demonstrations including sheep dogs at work and sheep-shearing presentations, provide hours of enjoyment, as well as being educational. The Fiber Fashion Show, featuring handmade items such as hats, sweaters and lace shawls, highlights the Festival and is great fun for all. The Fiber Arts Festival - a perfect way to celebrate nature’s bounty while enjoying the natural beauty of Castle Farms. This fascinating glimpse of antique bridal gowns and grooms’ attire kicks off the celebration of the Castle’s 8th Annual Grand Bridal Expo, Sunday, October 28th, 2012.
