Queen’s Courtyard Ceremony & King’s Great Hall Reception

“Adam and I met back in high school through my cousin Melissa, who was dating one of his friends. At this point Adam and I were just acquaintances. After my freshman year at MSU, I went out one night with my cousin to a party and Adam was there. We started talking, and at the end of the night he asked for my phone number. The rest is history! We dated for the next four years, which was hard because he went to Central and I went to State. After I graduated and before I started my student teaching, Adam popped the question. He was so nervous – he didn’t talk to me the whole day before! A year later on July 27^th, our five year anniversary, we were married.”

“For our wedding we really wanted to have an outdoor ceremony. My mom mentioned that it would be great if Castle Farms hosted weddings. I quickly found out that they did! We took a tour and fell in love with the Castle – it was perfect.”

 “My dress was called Symphony Royal, by Maggie Sottero. This designer offers dresses in a variety of colors, such as light gold, which was the color that I chose. I purchased the dress from the Wedding Bell in East Lansing. For our caterer we chose Sayre’s Catering Service and I highly recommend Sayre’s to anyone who is having a wedding at Castle Farms. The food is excellent! You can really tell that the owner enjoys what she is doing. For our florist I chose Joan E. Fleet. She works out of her home in Bellaire. I loved my bouquet! She even added a charm to it that said Love. Adam and I wanted a very personal wedding, so we had my best friend from college get ordained and perform the ceremony. For our honeymoon we spent 5 nights in Jamaica at the Sandals Resort. It was an excellent experience and everything we needed was right are our hotel.”
