Queen's Royal Tent Reception

“The two of us met in high school in Traverse City in 1998, never imagining at the time that we would someday become husband and wife.  We dated for 10 years and decided that after a decade (and a bit of family pressure), we were ready to tie the knot. We knew all along that we were soul mates and that we were meant to be together, so there was never any hurry in our minds.”

“We’ve lived all over the Midwest, but we knew that we wanted to get married in Northern Michigan where it all started.  Most of our family still lives in Northern Michigan; Charlevoix was special to us because it was my mother's hometown and we had spent many summers there during our early childhood. We also knew that we wanted our reception to be in a tent - a white canvas that could be decorated to reflect our personalities.  The overall environment had to include the warmth of summer and to be relaxed yet romantic. The Royal Tent along with the Tavern offered just that.”
“We had moved to London only five months prior to our wedding and the thought of long-distance wedding planning was quite overwhelming at first. Everything ran so smoothly that it was almost unreal. The Castle Farms staff was amazing and so flexible during the whole planning process! It was so much fun decorating and seeing all the hard work and vision finally come together.  The venue was perfect, and of course became even more special once it was filled with all of our favorite people. It was truly the wedding of our dreams, and we relive it over and over again in pictures and memories.”
