  Castle Farms

Queen's Courtyard Ceremony &
East Garden Room Reception

"Matt and I have known each other since 5th grade, and became close friends during high school. We started dating soon after graduation, and it wasn’t long before we were living together. Six years later, on St. Patrick’s Day, 2010, Matt proposed! We quickly started searching for the perfect venue, but once we visited Castle Farms, we both knew there was no need to search further. Michigan’s very own fairy tale castle would provide the perfect setting (and gorgeous photo ops!) for the “Up North” wedding of our dreams. During our bridal tour, we fell in love with the historic stone and dramatic architecture of the Queen’s Courtyard for the outdoor ceremony; the airy openness of the King’s East Garden Room, with its French doors, lighted greenery, and welcoming outdoor gardens, definitely added an elegant touch."
"Castle Farms made everything so amazingly easy when it came to booking our vendors. The Castle staff was great at answering every question we had, and we decided to follow their recommendations by choosing vendors listed on their Preferred Service Providers list. Grey Gables did the catering, and the food was fantastic! We brought our own beverage fountain to The Castle, and having our M&C Purple Rita's with sugar rims available at the bar added a unique extra. All Cakes All Occasions provided us with a delicious three layer tiered round cake, and each layer had its own different flavor. To please those with an extra sweet tooth, we splurged with a chocolate fountain and assorted dippers from Grey Gables. Marvin's Garden's and Debbie did a great job with all our flowers: from boutonnieres and bouquets, to the rose and hydrangea arrangements on the guest tables. Aaron Liversedge, the DJ from Rusch Entertainment, was amazing. He played all our favorite songs and kept us dancing all night long; he even came out on the dance floor and did the Cupid Shuffle dance with us! Jim Nelson, our photographer, did a fabulous job with our wedding pictures, capturing all the shots Matt and I wanted, plus more! As a special treat for our wedding guests, Matt and I rented a photo booth, which everyone loved; people were lined up for it the entire night! We also rented a bus from Midnight Madness, which transported our guests and wedding party to and from their various hotels back and forth throughout the evening. Our Videographer from Mike Staff Productions remained with us for eight full hours. Somehow, he managed to capture the magic of that special day which flew by much too fast; we’ll always be grateful we have that video."
"The forecast was gloomy the day of our wedding, and we were married in the rain. Though The Castle was able to provide an indoor rain plan for our ceremony, I wanted to stick with our original plan of an outdoor wedding. Castle Farms provided huge white umbrellas for all our guests, which they used while our wedding ceremony was underway. Our guests still talk about our wedding and the amazing day all of us spent together at Castle Farms. The memories are captured forever through the video, the photographs, but especially in our hearts. We’re so glad we made the choice to be married in Charlevoix The Beautiful at Castle Farms!"
