Charlevoix is full of fun things to do in the summer!
Here is a list of events you won’t want to miss this month:
1. Farmers Market
The Farmers Market takes place every Thursday in the summer. It begins at 8:00 AM and ends at 1:00 PM. All products are locally grown. Products include fresh produce, canned items, hand picked flowers, coffee, and baked goods. Located downtown in Charlevoix’s East Park, stop by this Thursday!
2. Wine and Yoga at 1918 Cellars
Starting at 6:30 PM on June 13, Castle Farms will be hosting a yoga session in our beautiful Queen’s Courtyard. Tickets will be available at the door for $20 per person. This includes a yoga session lasting 1-1.5 hours, along with one glass of 1918 Cellars wine. Make sure to bring your own yoga mat, as there is a limited number available. 3. Beaver Island Bike Festival
Get your bike ready! The Beaver Island Bike Festival starts June 21st at 8:00 AM. Experience this unique island by biking 20- 42 miles all at your own pace. The route includes rest stops which can supply you with drinks, food, and a restroom. Ride alone while admiring the beautiful scenery and historic sites.To celebrate the participants, there is a party downtown after your ride. Fun for the whole family! Register here!
4. Fairy Garden Make and Take Class
At 6:30 on June 25th, join a master gardener at Castle Farms to learn how to create your very own garden! Gardens may include fairies, dragons, garden gnomes, or all of the above! This event is perfect for all ages. Bring your own container that you think would be best for your garden. When taking the class, you will receive soil and 1 miniature plant to help you get started. Other items to make your fairy garden special are available for purchase in our gift shop. The class is $10 per person and advanced registration is required. Get tickets here!
5. Pottery and Wine
Cottage Pottery is coming to the 1918 Cellars Wine Tasting Room here at Castle Farms. The $35 tickets include paint supplies, artist guidance, and a glass of 1918 Cellars Wine. You can also choose from a couple different pieces of pottery. This event takes place on June 26th starting at 6:00pm. Reserve your pottery piece here!
6. Summer Art Show
Located on the shores of Round Lake in downtown Charlevoix, this art show is hard to beat! Including a mix of fine art and fine crafts, all items on display are truly unique. It starts on June 29th at 9:00 AM and goes until the next day, June 30th at 3:00 PM. This is for sure to be something the whole family is bound to love! Find out more here!
7. Farm-to-Table Dinner & Twilight Tour
Although this fabulous event is not until July 3, ticket must be purchased by June 28! Join us here at the Castle starting at 6:00 PM, you can enjoy a meal catered from a local favorite, Grey Gables. They prepare a three course meal using local meats and vegetables. After the delicious dinner, you will be invited to experience our Twilight Tour. This takes you around the moon light filled castle where you may explore all the history Castle Farms has to offer. Tickets are available here!
