Tours, Tours, Tours!

This season was a season for tours at Castle Farms! In addition to our Self-Guided historic tours offered daily from 9:30 am to 4:00 pm, Castle Farms began offering public Guided Tours twice a week during the months of July and August: Tuesdays at 2:00 pm, and Thursdays at 8:00 pm. The Tuesday afternoon tour proved the perfect midday outing for couples, families and individuals interested in gaining a little more knowledge into the extensive history of this unique property. Thursday evening tours gave guests an often-unseen look at Castle Farms. With the sun beginning to set, and the candles and majestic lighting taking effect, the guides even offered lesser known stories of the past owners and their activities at the Castle. Guests choosing to take a Self-Guided Tour had a chance at hitting a “Lucky Day” (random days Castle Farms deemed ‘lucky’ by giving away free copies of For The Love of a Castle books, toys and trinkets, or discounts).

It was a great season with fun for all — staff and guests alike! And with each new tour and activity at the Castle so well received by our guests, next year is looking even better! We’re planning on offering the same Guided and Self-Guided tour schedules, plus adding even more Lucky Days to our schedule. Make your plans to stop out at Castle Farms next summer!

In the meantime, Castle Farms remains open November through April for Historic Self-Guided tours. A winter Self-Guided tour leads guests through areas of the Castle not open to the general public during the summer months… including the Bridal Suite hallway, where you’ll find a stone bearing Bon Jovi’s name. Legend has it that he carved his signature in the rock before going on stage in 1989!

Tour hours are from 9:30am to 4:00 pm Mondays through Saturdays. Weekend tour hours may vary due to special events. Please call ahead or check the website to verify.
